Terms
These terms cover this site and its records door. They say, in plain words, what you may do with what you read here, whose terms each record carries, and what we promise and do not promise.
Who these terms are between
Pansofica is the records business of PXL8 Technology, Inc.
These terms are between you and the company that runs Pansofica. By reading this site, calling its door or using one of its tools, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the site or the door.
We may change these terms. The date at the foot of this page says when they last changed, and the changed page is the one that applies from that day.
The records and whose terms they carry
Every record on this site is read from a file a public body published. The record carries a receipt: the source, the file, its fingerprint, the date it was read and the reuse terms the publisher wrote, quoted as written. We add no terms of our own to the data.
What you may do with a record is what its publisher allows. Read the terms in its receipt before you reuse it. Where a publisher refuses reuse, we hold no records from that source and say so on the coverage page.
The method that reads, joins and checks the records is ours. The records themselves are the publisher's, and the receipt is how you tell the two apart.
The door
The door at api.pansofica.com answers without a key within the limits its status page publishes. Past a limit the answer says so and how long to wait. A key raises the limits and comes with its own terms.
You may read the door with code, with an assistant or by hand. You may not try to take it down, to read around its limits, to pass its answers off as a publisher's own file, or to serve a record without its receipt.
The door measures its own availability in public and keeps a changelog. It is offered as it runs. We do not promise it will always answer, and we may change what it answers and how.
What we promise and do not promise
A record says what its publisher published, on the date in its receipt. We do not promise that a publisher was right, that a file is complete, or that a record is still current. Where two publishers disagree, we show both and say so.
A record is not advice, and nothing on this site decides anything about a person. If you act on a record, you act on the publisher's file, and you should read that file where the receipt points.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss that follows from reading or reusing a record, from the door being unavailable, or from a publisher's file being wrong.
Records about you
If a record on this site is about you, you can see what it says, confirm what is right and dispute what is wrong at the claim desk. A correction sits beside the record with its basis. The publisher's own file is never rewritten.
A publisher, or the subject of a record, can ask for a record to be taken down. The procedure is on the door's takedown page, and a person reads every request.
What this site stores about you, and what its tools send and never send, is on the privacy page.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, and any dispute about them is brought in the courts there. If a part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
Questions
Questions about these terms go to the form on the front page. A person reads it and replies by email.
