Data terms

Every record carries its publisher's own terms. Pansofica adds none to the data. The receipt is how you read them; the method that joins and checks the records is Pansofica's own, and is a separate thing from the data's terms.

Whose terms

A record's receipt carries a terms field: the publisher's own reuse terms, quoted exactly as the publisher wrote them, never summarized and never replaced by a Pansofica term.

The receipt is published as a standard, with its own field table and its own validator, so a reader can check a given record against it directly rather than take this page's word for it.

Pansofica's own method

How records are read, joined into one subject, and checked is Pansofica's own method, described on the Records API page. It is a separate thing from the data: the method is ours, the terms on the data are the publisher's.
